Terms that govern use of this website and participation in services offered by American Self Defense & Fitness Center.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website located at asdfc.net (the "Site") and the services, classes, and programs offered by American Self Defense & Fitness Center ("ASDFC," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site or our services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
American Self Defense & Fitness Center is a martial arts and fitness studio located at 156C West Passaic Street, Rochelle Park, NJ 07662. You can reach us at (201) 368-9050 or asdfcinfo@gmail.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or a parent or legal guardian of a minor enrolling in our programs, to register for classes, complete forms, or enter into agreements with us. By registering a minor, you represent that you have the legal authority to do so on their behalf.
3. Use of the site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use of the Site. Prohibited behavior includes harassing or causing distress to any other user, transmitting unlawful or offensive content, and disrupting the normal operation of the Site.
4. Free trials and class enrollment
We may offer free trial periods for certain programs. Free trials are intended for new students who have not previously enrolled at ASDFC. We reserve the right to limit trial eligibility, modify trial terms, or end a trial early at our discretion. Enrollment in paid programs is subject to the specific program’s terms, schedules, and availability, which we provide at the time of enrollment.
5. Payments and refunds
Payments for paid programs are processed through our customer relationship management system or in person at the studio. Tuition, course fees, and equipment costs are described at the point of purchase. Refunds, transfers, and pauses are handled on a case-by-case basis and as described in the specific program’s enrollment paperwork. Contact us for details.
6. Assumption of risk and waiver
Martial arts, kickboxing, and self-defense training involve physical activity and inherent risks of injury. By participating in any class or program, you acknowledge those risks and agree to follow all instructions from our coaches and staff. Specific liability waivers may be required at the time of enrollment.
7. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, video, and software — is the property of ASDFC or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may view and download content for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not republish, reproduce, modify, sell, or distribute any of it without our prior written permission.
8. Third-party services
The Site may include links to or embed content from third-party services (for example, our online member academy at sparkuniversity.co, our forms provider LeadConnector, Google Maps, and our payment processors). We are not responsible for the practices, content, or terms of those third parties. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms.
9. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ASDFC and its officers, employees, and instructors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Site or our services.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates take effect when we post the revised Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Site or our services after we post changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any disputes will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Bergen County, New Jersey.
