Master Fred Bargiacchi conducts his Little Ninja’s class here at Prime Time Early Learning Center in Paramus. The children look forward to his class every Thursday morning. The class is conducted for 3 and 4 year olds. The children learn so much from his class. Coordination, balance, taking turns as well as their listening skills and discipline has improved. He makes the class fun and engaging. The children love to address him as ‘Sir’ and listen to his instructions very intently and they feel really proud to wear the uniform to the class. His engagement with the children, teachers and parents are very professional and informative. I recommend his class to any little one and I am sure they will enjoy their time with him.

We have had Master Fred teach his Little Ninjas program here at Tutor Time in Saddle Brook for over 15 years and it has constantly been our most popular elective program. Master Fred works with the children on building their skills such as concentration, listening and focusing as well as teaching them about stranger danger. Master Fred Has been coming to our center to teach the Little Ninjas program for over 15 years. Master Fred’s program is very popular and most children in my class join the sessions. Over the years I have had the chance to sit and observe Master Fred’s classes. The sessions are very interactive and promote many gross motor activities, in addition to focusing on listening skills, concentration and cooperation. Master Fred also conducts discussions with the children about stranger danger which is a very important topic among young children. The children always have tons of fun in his class.
Master Fred also is willing to share his knowledge and strategies with myself and other teachers to help us with challenging behaviors in our classrooms. He provides us with ideas on how to work with children on self-control, listening, and focusing skills. By implementing his suggestions, I was able to help some of my students with their challenging behaviors.

For Over 10 Years Nursery Rhymes School has been hosting the “Little Ninjas” program developed by Master Fred Bargiacchi. In contrast to other Martial Arts programs that Nursery Rhymes has hosted in the past, the “Little Ninja” program focuses on developing the preschoolers listening skills as well as their balance and coordination and not just kicks and punches. “Sir” as he is called by the children, makes the experience fun because he is enthusiastic and he enjoys working with young children. Many of my former students who attended Master Fred’s program at Nursery Rhymes have continued with great success, their Martial Arts training with Master Fred at his center in Rochelle Park. I highly recommend Master Fred Bargiacchi’s programs for pre-school age children because the program has been carefully developed with age appropriate activities with specific developmental goals in mind.

Spring Lake Day Camp fully enjoys our partnership with Master Fred's Martial Arts Program during the summer months. They share our philosophy of “children first” creating an environment which allows children to build self-esteem and believe in themselves.

The Little Ninjas program has been such a wonderful enhancement to our preschool program. The children love the time they spend with Master Fred. Master Fred makes the program fun and educational. Master Fred is fantastic! We brought him in to be part of a 6 week after school enrichment program and our students LOVED him! His Martial Arts class offered a great blend of character building and self-defense skills. He taught life lessons they could understand as well as proper techniques. My son was one of the students who took this class and he really enjoyed it. We look forward to working with him again in the future.

FAQs

Do I need to know jiu-jitsu or Judo to study Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?

No, you don’t. There are beginner classes available and many of the people who study Brazilian Jiu Jitsu have no prior martial arts training.

Do I need any special equipment to study Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?

Students typically wear a Gi (two-piece garment worn by martial artists.) It is also typical for some students may want to wear a mouth guard. It’s a good idea to have a supply of athletic tape, as well.

As a beginner, do I need to spar?

No. Beginner classes focus on teaching basic techniques and safety, and you can then work your way up to controlled sparring in class.

Can Brazilian Jiu Jitsu help me defend myself?

Absolutely. It’s one of the world’s most effective self-defense techniques and is often preferred because it teaches students to leverage their body weight to defeat larger opponents.

Will taking Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes help me lose weight?

It can, particularly if you combine Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes with a healthy diet and lifestyle. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu provides a great, full-body workout that burns calories, builds muscles, and boosts the metabolism.
